A great safari We had a wonderful time. Our guide, Calvin, was very knowledgeable and personable. All the places we stayed had excellent, helpful staff. We were blessed by seeing many kinds of animals- lions, leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo, alligator, rhinoceros, cape buffalo, many types of gazelle and lots of wildebeests with calvesPosted on Tripadvisor![]()

Car light tours tanzania As a single traveler, I was matched up with another of similar ilk. The hotels were luxurious, with pools, restaurants and bars. My roommate and I had single beds most nights. I highly recommend the airplane tour over Kilimanjaro. It gives a wonderful view of the crater and glacier on top, but also of the beautiful landscape below. We even saw hikers! The safari was amazing! We went during birthing season, so there were a lot of baby elephants, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest. It only rained the first night and I didn’t see a single mosquito. The vehicles were new, air conditioned and sturdy. Our guides were locals, so they were very knowledgeable, and we felt very safe in their hands. They were lots of fun, and they helped us negotiate souvenir prices and interpret Swahili when we needed it. Most people spoke English though. The balloon ride was a thrill! A little rough on takeoff as it was a windy day. But there were a lot of oohs and aahs as we flew over our tent camp in the Serengeti. I loved that we got a hands on experience of the music, dance, clothing, culture and cuisine of beautiful Tanzania.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Visit Africa as a guest and not a Tourist! The tour company was the best. Professional, responsive & friendly. We were treated like guests, not the dispassionate tour guides we’ve experienced on other tours Ample opportunity to see wildlife and cultural visits to indigenous peoples in their environment. We took an hour long balloon ride over the Serengeti. Shopping for unique African clothing and tanzanite jewelry The hotel accommodations were first class and the food a wonderful mix of local and western cuisine Highly recommended!!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Amazing, Tanzania is just amazing! This was a trip of a lifetime and we enjoyed every moment! We spent time in three national parks, experienced four indigenous tribes, and staying on many wonderfully accommodating places (some hotels, some tents - all wonderful). Catherine, our guides and the crew of safari drivers helped us to see and experience so much of the culture. One of our favorite moments was the balloon ride over the Serengeti. It was a bumpy ride to start, but the views were breathtaking and the breakfast in the park was pretty awesome as well. My husband and I highly recommend Carlight Tours for your trip to Africa. They will treat you like family and make sure you are safe, well fed and hydrated!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

A trip of a lifetime with CaRLight tours. The trip was amazing and lived up to my expectations. There was so much to see and do so be prepared to take pictures and join into conversations about the beautiful landscapes. All the lodges were wonderful in their own way. Some were modern hotels and others were tents near the woods. I enjoyed the glamping. The food was plentiful and good. Our driver, trained to spot wildlife, did a great job and helped us see the animals in the trees, water and everywhere else. The Serengeti was wonderful and full of wildlife in every direction. I found the wildlife to be used to our safari cars. The lions would glance at us and go back to sleep. Lions, zebras, water buffalo, leopards, elephants, antelope and many others. Some alone and in herds too. Truly a trip of a lifetime.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

SAFARI TRIP 😍 What an incredible Safari trip . We started our journey at Mt. Kilimanjaro. There we visited Moshi and Marangu. We also visited 4 African Tribes . Spent time at a Chagaga tribe village making fresh ground coffee! Next was Arusha then onto Tarangire National Park to see the wildlife. Next was Ndutu for another wildlife park. Ngorongora Crater was my favorite place to see the animals, it was the wildebeest migration season and there were thousands of them. Next was Serengeti National Park, our jeeps were the ultimate in transportation. It was very easy to see out the top part of the vehicle. The trip then took us to Lake Victoria. From there we took a short flight to the east coast Dar Es Salaam. Our stay was very nice , a few of us went to Zanzibar for a day trip to see Stone Town. We did so much I’m afraid I couldn’t do it justice in my review. This trip was truly a once in a lifetime, thank you CarLight for the opportunity to experience it ALL.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Tanzania Safari trip This was truly the trip of a lifetime. We saw and experienced so many amazing things! We took a plane ride over Mt Kilimanjaro and got a view most people never get to see. The safari part of the trip was everything I had hoped - we saw lots and lots of animals in their natural habitat, so different than in a zoo. My favorite was a mama elephant and her very young baby that strolled right past our jeep! Our guide on the safari was very knowledgeable and had an uncanny ability to spot animals while driving! Another highlight of the trip was the balloon ride over the Serengeti. While this excursion was not for the faint of heart, it provided a breathtaking view of the animals and landscape as we floated along. The ride ended with a delicious outdoor breakfast with champagne at our landing spot. We stayed in several different lodges on the trip, each unique and wonderful in their own way. They ranged from a very elegant lodge with an infinity pool overlooking the Serengeti to my favorite, huge tents with all the comforts of home. In addition to the safari we were given the opportunity to experience the culture of several different tribes - Chaga, Masai, Hadzabe, and Datoka. We really enjoyed learning about how they live, so different from anything we’ve ever experienced. I can’t recommend this trip enough. Truly something everyone should get to experience at least once in their lives!
